Selfie and Identity Verification Data

GoodCars collects a member's selfie only for identity verification required for rental services. GoodCars does not use selfies for facial recognition and does not create facial templates.

Account Deletion and Retention of Transaction Records

A member may request account deletion in the app and may cancel the request within 30 days. After this period, the member account and sign-in access are permanently removed. Historical rental transaction records, including rental orders, contracts, payments, invoices, insurance records, traffic violations, and related evidence, are retained permanently for accounting, contractual, insurance, audit, and dispute-resolution purposes. These records are not immediately removed when an account is deleted.

Selfies are transmitted using encryption and stored in our systems and in Google Cloud storage services engaged by GoodCars. Access is limited to authorized personnel for identity verification, performance of rental services, and the handling of related disputes. GoodCars does not sell selfies or use them for advertising, facial recognition, or the creation of facial templates. When account deletion takes effect, the selfie link and access in the member account are removed. If a selfie has become evidence associated with a rental order, contract, payment, insurance, traffic violation, or dispute, it is retained under this policy's transaction-record retention rules.
